Connecticut has a long tradition of music festivals, and the newest addition to its scene is already turning heads. The Capitol Groove is quickly establishing itself as Hartford’s premier music event, following in the footsteps of iconic gatherings like Gathering of the Vibes. Now in its second year, the festival boasts a standout lineup featuring Khruangbin, Bleachers, and CAKE.
The excitement continues this June 28-29 with a strong supporting roster, including Thundercat, Connecticut natives Sammy Rae & The Friends, Thee Sacred Souls, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Ripe, and many others. Whether you’re into funk, soul, rock, or indie, there’s something here for you.
Set in the heart of Bushnell Park, the festival grounds blend natural beauty with the striking architecture of the Connecticut State Capitol. The Capitol Groove is more than a music festival—it’s a celebration of local culture, from artisan vendors to the state’s buzzing food truck scene. While this year’s vendor list hasn’t been revealed yet, expect a diverse and delicious spread.
