This past weekend marked the return of the Great South Bay Music Festival at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, New York. As one of the East Coast’s premier summer music events, the festival grounds provided a perfect atmosphere with refreshing ocean breezes and an array of delicious local food and beverages.

Saturday night’s sets were marked by a heartfelt tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong kicked things off with an instrumental version of Crazy Train, setting the tone for a night of powerful performances. The band closed their set with a seamless transition from Shine On You Crazy Diamond into Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going to Be a Long, Long Time), blending Jamaican rhythms with electronic techno beats. Umphrey’s McGee paid their own tribute with a cover of No More Tears. The night wrapped up with moe., who brought out Umphrey’s McGee one more time for a special rendition of Black Sabbath’s The Wizard, capping off an unforgettable evening of music.
