Tyler Ballgame graced the stage Monday to a hungry rock audience in Brooklyn. He played much of the band’s first album, “For the First Time, Again,” along with some singles and new material. Add to that a song that didn’t make the cut of a Disney soundtrack (though we aren’t supposed to know the film title, it was cryptically referred to as, Shrek song).
After making it through the setlist, there was a short encore. Tyler and band closed the night out with a heartfelt cover of Harry Nilsson’s, “Without You.”
A powerful show that is further proof of Tyler’s talent as a performer, singer and storyteller. His voice, songwriting and faith in the power of love is electrifying. It was great to see a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in the venue’s final months to boot!
