Rise Against, Killswitch Engage, and Letlive. converged onto the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey on July 26th for a Sunday show on the shore. This is one energetic tour – each band left everything they had on the stage.

Letlive. opened the show with its normal insanity – but what’s normal for them is not normal by any stretch of the imagination. Singer Jason Butler covered every part of the stage in seconds and was in the crowd before you could blink. These guys from Los Angeles put on an epic opening set for New Jersey’s faithful.

Next up, Killswitch Engage was sheer metal (with a smile). The boys from Boston laid down a set full of heavy hitters, including tracks from their 2013 release, Disarm The Descent. So heavy, but so fun!

Lastly, Rise Against took over headlining duties. These guys are beasts – Zach (guitar) and Joe (bass) are constantly on the run and jumping, while Tim (vocals) belts it out the whole set and of course Brandon (drums) keeps everything moving through the 19 song set! We even got a surprise with Lou of Sick of it All coming out to assist in a SOIA cover of “Built to Last”. Show after show, these guys never cease to blow me away as musicians and humans.
