Live Nation has announced that Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will perform five intimate concerts at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on May 20, 21, 23, 25, and 26.

Tickets for each Beacon Theatre concert will go on sale on Monday March 25 at 10am Eastern Time. Full ticketing information is below.

The announcement that Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will play the Beacon for the first time in their thirty-seven year career comes as the legendary rockers confirm a 2013 North American tour of arenas, festivals, amphitheaters, and clubs.

During the past thirty-seven years Tom and The Heartbreakers have headlined some of worlds largest and most prestigious events including the legendary Isle of Wight Festival in the UK last year and the Super Bowl XLII Halftime show in 2008. This year the band will return to The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN for their second headlining appearance and will also headline Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival and Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival.

Following the Beacon shows, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will play a six night residency in the even cozier confines of Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre.

Tickets for The Beacon Theatre residency will be available at Ticketmaster.com beginning at 10am EST on Monday March 25th. There will be a strict four ticket limit per person, per show

Members of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ Highway Companions Club will have access to a special allotment of tickets for all five Beacon shows. These tickets will be distributed for purchase to club members via a special lottery system. Precise lottery details will be announced soon.
