Black Joe Lewis & The Honey Bears released their fourth full-length album, Backlash, on February 10, and this past Wednesday, the Austin natives brought their unique sound to Brooklyn’s own Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Their first extensive tour since 2013, fans packed into the hall to experience the group’s notoriously high energy and signature soul-punk R&B style first-hand. Opening for them was Dams of the West, the newest endeavor of Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Tomson. With their new album Youngish American, they started the night off with some great energy, and Black Joe Lewis finished the night out strong, leaving fans with a night to remember.
