Umphrey’s McGee dropped in to the Fox Theater in Oakland over the weekend, playing to a near-capacity crowd of West Coast fans. A high-energy, crowd pleasing set from New Orleans-based The Revivalists warmed up the audience before Umphrey’s dug into the first of two sets.

Known for lengthy, intricate, and nuanced jams, the band rolled through their catalog at a comfortable pace with plenty of jaw-dropping moments along the way. Always a visual treat to witness, the prog rockers’ musicianship is equally as spectacular as they deftly explored wide sonic worlds.
