Washing Machine Messiah?
All well and good Steve is playing Yes music…..but lets be honest…its really a cover band playing Yes music…zero Original Founding Members. I get sick of all of these bands passing themselves off as the true and original when they have zero founding members. Jon Davidson is a great singer…when he sings for Glass HAmmer….when he sings Yes music..its forced and it feels totally contrived. Jon Anderson can never be replaced what so ever. When he left in the 80’s and was replaced with Trevor Horn….It wasnt yes. Then Jon comes back and is replaced when he was recovering from a near death illness. I love Chris Squire…but that was a Dick move. When Chris was on his deathbed…Jon let bygones be bygones and took the higher road and made peace with him. Jon’s version of Yes currently touring in opinion is the real Yes…all others are just kidding themselves. Listen to the last studio Album by Howes version Heaven & Earth,…..its flat and uninspiring. Then listen to Invention of Knowledge by Anderson/Stolt….the latter brings it back to glory years of Yes.
