If there was one act that could encapsulate the overall vibe of this year’s New Music Seminar, which ran from June 9th – 11th in New York City, it was indie-rock trio, The Postelles, who helped wrap the festival’s 3-night stint of performances Tuesday night at Webster Hall.

The homegrown band, which first explored their craft at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, rocked the stage this week with new tracks off its second release, …And it Shook Me, including the single ‘Caught By Surprise’.

There, The Postelles got music lovers all over New York revved up with the same energy they have already showed off at Bonnaroo Music Festival and Lollapalooza, among other venues they rocked alongside headliners including The Kooks, Fun., Kings of Leon, and Interpol.

On this night, The Postelles shared the stage with emerging acts Waii Boy and Pretty & Nice, who recently dropped the record, Golden Rules for Golden People.
