The Nth Power makes its New York return with a gig at Nublu on Sept. 16, in support of their Fall Back In Love Tour. The celebrated group, mixes a unique blend of funk, rock and soul and are known for their potent live performances. The dynamic soul trio is composed of acclaimed funk drummer and vocalist Nikki Glaspie, who has toured with powerhouses such as Beyonce, Chaka Kahn, and Ivan Neville just to name a few. Guitarist and lead vocalist Nick Cassarino, known for his time with the Jennifer Hartswick Band, and bassist Nate Edgar, a former member of reggae and dub band John Brown’s Body.

The tour will be the first for the group since the pandemic, marking a milestone in the slow return of New York’s once-thriving music scene. As such, the band urges fans coming to the show to do so safely and in accordance with the venue’s vaccination policies. “Our fans are like family — everyone’s health, safety and happiness is our highest priority. Please wear a mask at our shows or, even better, get tested before you walk in the door.” “Regardless of how you choose to stay safe, remember that we’re all in this together.”

The Nth Power has grown a solid following based on their unique hybrid of soul, funk, R&B, gospel and a whole lot of love. The band’s dynamic range runs the gamut from tight organic jams, to fluid bursts of sound. Check them out Sept. 16 at Nublu, doors open at 7pm. Get tickets here.
