Celebrated folk-rock band DISPATCH has announced their AMPlifying Democracy Fall Tour. The intimate series of dates (with more to be announced soon) kicks off October 8th in partnership with Calling All Crows and will promote the AMPlifying Democracy Campaign, which leverages the power of music to inspire, activate, and boost civic engagement during this critical election year. Fans will be engaged in activities that celebrate our democratic process and promote voting both nationally and locally this election season. For fans who can’t wait until the fall, the band has also announced a couple of key summer headline dates with The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Boston Pops on June 22 and August 31 respectively. Various pre-sales for the fall tour and summer stops are available March 11-13, with tickets on-sale to the general public Tuesday, March 19th.

DISPATCH – formed by Chadwick Stokes and Brad Corrigan while in college in Vermont – have forged their own path outside the mainstream music industry as one of independent rock’s most indelible acts over the last two-and-a-half decades. Over the course of a slew of acclaimed studio and live albums and countless tours and festivals, the band has gone on to become one of biggest success stories in music history without any traditional radio or major label support. The five piece continues to grow and push their boundaries, taking surprise turns without ever abandoning the signature sound, and the songs on their most recent release, their 8th studio album, Break Our Fall, blend infectious roots rock with hints of reggae, folk and blues. The production is similarly lean and energetic, leaving plenty of space for some of the group’s most pointed, political lyrics to date. Like so much of their music, the result is an ode to resilience and survival, a timely and essential collection that still manages to find hope and joy even on the darkest of days.

Throughout their rise, DISPATCH has taken every opportunity to use their success for good, launching charitable organizations to fight poverty and mass incarceration, raising funds and awareness for environmental causes, schools and hospitals on the road, and even traveling as far afield as Nicaragua and Zimbabwe to work with children and communities in need.
