The 2014 Firefly Festival has shared a number of updates, including the addition of Broken Bells and Big Gigantic to the already stellar line-up. This year’s roster also features performances by headliners Foo Fighters, Outkast, and Jack Johnson, as well as additional acts like Arctic Monkeys, The Lumineers, Weezer, Imagine Dragons, Grouplove, Haerts, White Denim, Third Eye Blind, New Politics, Twenty One Pilots and many more on the bill. Now in its third year, the event returns to The Woodlands in Dover, DE on June 19-22, 2014 with an extended 4-day festival showcasing 100+ bands on 7 stages.

DOVER, DE (Feb. 18) – Firefly Music Festival added two acts to their 2014 bill today along with the announcement of additional experiential items. Alternative rock band Broken Bells, which includes lead singer of The Shins, James Mercer, as well as Brian Burton, also known as Danger Mouse, has been announced through the festival’s social media pages. Big Gigantic will make their second Firefly appearance as well.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Big Gigantic back to The Woodlands this June,” says Firefly Music Festival Director Greg Bostrom. “Their return, along with the addition of Broken Bells, is adding to our anticipation for June.”

In addition to the artist announcements, on Feb. 18, Firefly also matched all donations (up to $10,000) to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital made through the ticket purchasing process. Firefly merchandise went on sale and a special “Limited” general admission price was introduced for $259. Fans also were surprised with the re-release of the 2014 lineup video, the announcement of the Coffee House artists, the daily llineup, as well as those performing on the Red Bull stages in the camping areas on-site at Firefly.

Another exciting announcement came with the official release of the band Bleachers, the latest project of Grammy award winning artist and songwriter Jack Antonoff, best known for being the guitarist from the band Fun. Bleachers has been on the Firefly lineup since it was announced in January, and will be one of the first live shows of the group.
